The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation’S (CLF) mission is to provide life-changing opportunities through housing, education and recreation to homeless and at-risk children and families living in Los Angeles, ready to change their lives.
These programs are offered to at-risk and homeless youth from the ages of infancy through 17, and our unique programs work together to promote self-sufficiency, confidence, and leadership skills that inspire the children to become community contributors, and better human beings!
Emphasis is highly placed on “Giving Back,” specific awareness of relevant world issues and events, with specific attention being paid to the child’s individual financial and professional dreams for their future.
Since 1993, the CLF has enriched the lives of over 30,000 children, moved 40 families into their own homes, and awarded 41 college scholarships to deserving teens. Each year, 3,000 children are provided with great Holiday programs, summer camp excursions, and awesome cultural field trips, all the while our operating a full-time Learning Center in Santa Monica!
The CLF’s Adopt-A-Family, Care through College Learning Center, Kids Helping Kids & the Project Angel Wings Holiday Programs offer extensive outreach to the most needy of the youth's families, while the new “Care through College” Learning Center focuses exclusively on a specific group of children, mentoring them and tutoring them successfully through to college age with a unique program component involving the local community, and providing a safe, nurturing and highly focused after-school environment.
